About Us

The story of Bittersweet Ivy began in the dining room of our house in 2014. A friend and I decided to venture on a new path and open a boutique together. We decided on the name Bittersweet Ivy as a symbol of our friendship and the journey we were embarking on together. The boutique started small, asking friends to host pop-up shows in their houses and renting booths at trade shows. We moved to a few different spaces before putting roots down in our current location in the Rail District in heart of Downtown Frisco.  As our business grew, we encountered more challenges than we had anticipated. In 2021, our partnership dissolved, and I became the sole owner of Bittersweet Ivy.

Now I know what you're thinking. “With a store memorializing friendship, where do I go from here as a solo owner?” Shifting from co-owners to just myself was a learning curve for sure, but I wasn’t alone during the change. Friends, old and new went above and beyond in whatever capacity they could to support me in making the new Bittersweet Ivy the best boutique it could be.

We expanded the boutique doubling our size and have been thriving ever since. Many customers have turned into friends, and we continue to grow our relationships in the downtown community. We are very involved with all events in the Rail District from Sip-N-Shops to the StrEATS Food Truck & Music Festival and Melody of Hope’s Music on Main.

Bittersweet Ivy is a family-owned local boutique that is committed to ensuring its customers are always looking and feeling good. We understand the importance of friendships, so when you shop with us, you’re shopping with friends.
